ADAMS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE Launch New tip411Mobile App for Customized Crime-Fighting

Innovative new AdamsCo Sheriff tip411Mobile app helps better connect police with the public

Adams County (Natchez), MS, September 23, 2016 — The Adams County Sheriff’s Office is increasing its crime-fighting arsenal with a new app to help residents connect with the department to find information, view alerts, and submit anonymous tips from their smartphone that can be responded to in real time

Developed by tip411, the AdamsCo Sheriff app puts a powerful new crime-fighting tool into the hands of community members of all ages. The AdamsCo Sheriff app is available for download free via the Google Play Store, iTunes App Store, or by visiting the Adams County Sheriff website at adamscosheriff.org.

“We are committed to implementing strategies to create an innovative law enforcement agency including proactive policing, problem solving, and advanced technology,” said Sheriff Travis Patten. We believe the addition of this new app will allow us to continue to develop mutually beneficial partnerships with our community.

The AdamsCo Sheriff app and tip411 anonymous text tip system are 100% anonymous, as the technology removes all identifying information before law enforcement see the tips and there is no way to identify the sender.

Residents in Adams County without a smartphone will still be able to send an anonymous text tip via their cell phone by texting keyword ACSO#1 and their message/tip to 847411 (tip411).
