On the date of October 23,2021, Adams County Sheriff’s Office participated in National Drug Take Back Initiative 21. In partnership with Drug Enforcement Administration the Adams County Sheriff’s Office was able to take back well over 430lbs of unused medications, pills, and various narcotics. The items recovered were dropped off at either two of the locations available being The Adam’s County Office and Merit Health Natchez. At both locations citizens were able to drop the items off in a secured lock box with no questions asked. We thank the citizens and residents of Adams County for your participation in this effort. Please continue to utilize the drop locations located at The Adams County Sheriff’s Office and Merit Health Natchez.
