March 8, 2022
On March 8, 2022, Adams County Sheriff’s Office celebrated the exponential growth in inclusivity of women at the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
Before Sheriff Patten took office in 2016, there was only one certified female deputy on the force. This has changed a lot. There are now 5 women on patrol, 6 in administration, 2 on the Crisis Intervention Team, 1 in the Criminal Investigation Division, 1 in training, and 14 in the jail and courthouse.
As of 2022, women are represented in every department and on every shift at ACSO. We vow to keep striving towards positive changes as such for a safer, better Adams County.
